Smart Clicker Legal

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 12, 2026

This policy explains the data practices of the Smart Clicker website and the Smart Clicker browser extension. The website and extension have different data practices, described separately below.

1. Overview

The Smart Clicker website does not offer accounts or login, collect form submissions, process payments, use a database, or include a website analytics SDK. The Smart Clicker browser extension stores functional task data locally and sends a limited set of anonymous product-usage events to Mixpanel.

2. Information Stored Locally

Smart Clicker stores functional data in your browser's extension local storage so configured tasks can run, recover, and remain associated with the intended page. Depending on the feature used, this may include:

  • Task configuration and status
  • Selected element information, including a selector
  • Timer or schedule configuration
  • Page information needed to bind and protect the task
  • Task history and local interface preferences where applicable
  • A locally generated anonymous analytics identifier

This functional task data remains in your browser rather than being uploaded to a Smart Clicker account or cloud database.

3. Limited Anonymous Product Analytics

The extension uses a locally generated anonymous identifier and sends limited product-flow events to Mixpanel. Depending on the current released version, these events may describe actions such as opening the extension, selecting an element, starting or cancelling a task, a task completing or failing, opening advanced options, or changing the extension language.

These events help us understand feature adoption, improve Smart Clicker, and diagnose aggregate product flows. They are not used as an account identity, device fingerprint, or personal user profile.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

Smart Clicker's limited product analytics do not send:

  • Your name or email address
  • Page URLs or website domains
  • CSS selectors or selected element text
  • Browsing history or page-view history
  • Exact timer inputs
  • Form contents
  • Payment information
  • Session replays

5. How Information Is Used

Locally stored information is used to provide core extension functions, persist and recover configured tasks, maintain task-page safeguards, and remember supported interface preferences. Limited anonymous analytics are used to understand feature adoption, improve the product, and diagnose aggregate product flows.

6. Third-Party Service — Mixpanel

Smart Clicker uses Mixpanel as a third-party service for limited anonymous product analytics. Mixpanel receives the limited product-flow events and anonymous identifier described in this policy for the purpose of understanding feature adoption and improving Smart Clicker.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell the information described in this policy. Limited anonymous analytics are transmitted to Mixpanel as described above. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or when reasonably necessary to protect the security and rights of Smart Clicker, its users, or others.

8. Data Retention

Local extension data remains in browser extension storage until it is removed when you delete a task, through applicable product cleanup rules, when you uninstall the extension, or when you clear the browser's extension data. Browser behavior may vary, so Smart Clicker does not promise an exact local deletion period.

Analytics data is handled according to the configured analytics service and applicable service settings. We do not state a fixed analytics retention period where one has not been confirmed.

9. Browser Permissions

Smart Clicker requires browser capabilities needed to provide its features. At a high level, these capabilities support selecting webpage elements, storing task configuration, scheduling background tasks, providing notifications and context-menu shortcuts where available, and communicating with the product analytics endpoint. The exact permissions are governed by the currently released extension manifest and may change as features evolve.

10. Children and General Audience

Smart Clicker is a general-purpose browser utility and is not directed specifically to children. The website and extension do not provide user accounts through which we knowingly request a child's name, email address, or other account information.

11. Security

We use reasonable measures intended to limit data collection and protect the information handled by Smart Clicker. No browser extension, storage system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when Smart Clicker's features, data practices, or service providers change. The Last Updated date at the top of this page identifies the current version.

13. Contact

For support or privacy questions, contact Smart Clicker at cchhll0210@gmail.com.
